Citrus-Infused Iced Tea

Ingredients
  

Tea Base
  • 8 cups filtered water
  • 6 English breakfast or orange pekoe tea bags
  • 1/4 cup honey or to taste
  • 1/4 cup fresh lemon juice
  • 1/4 cup fresh orange juice
  • 2 tablespoons fresh lime juice
Citrus & Herb Infusion
  • 1 orange thinly sliced
  • 1 lemon thinly sliced
  • 1 lime thinly sliced
  • 4 sprigs fresh mint
  • 2 sprigs fresh rosemary optional
  • Plenty of ice
Garnishes
  • Citrus wheels
  • Fresh mint sprigs
  • Edible flowers optional

Equipment

  • Large saucepan
  • Glass pitcher
  • Manual citrus juicer
  • Long wooden spoon
  • Tall iced tea glasses

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Bring water to a boil, remove from heat, and steep tea bags for 5 to 6 minutes. Remove tea bags and stir in honey while warm.
  2. Allow tea to cool slightly, then stir in fresh lemon, orange, and lime juices.
  3. Transfer to a large glass pitcher and refrigerate until thoroughly chilled.
  4. Just before serving, add citrus slices, mint, rosemary, and plenty of ice. Stir gently and pour into tall glasses garnished with mint and citrus.
