Method

Preparation
  1. In a large pitcher or beverage dispenser, combine the orange juice, pineapple juice, passion fruit juice, lime juice, Blood Orange Simple Syrup, dark rum, and light rum. Stir well and refrigerate for at least two hours to allow the flavors to meld.
  2. Just before serving, add plenty of ice and stir in sparkling soda.
  3. Garnish with orange slices, lime wheels, pineapple wedges, cherries, and mint, then serve over ice.

Notes

Sparkling Citrus Punch (Alcohol-Free)
For a family-friendly version, omit the rum and increase the pineapple juice to 2 cups. Add an extra cup of sparkling soda and garnish with floating orange slices, strawberries, blueberries, and fresh mint.
It's every bit as colorful and refreshing.
Jorj's Tip
Mix the entire punch base—including the rum—the day before your cookout. Refrigerate overnight, then add the sparkling soda just before guests arrive. The flavors deepen beautifully overnight, making this one of those cocktails that actually improves with a little time.
Hosting a Crowd
For 20 guests, prepare:
• 4 cups orange juice
• 2 cups pineapple juice
• 2 cups passion fruit juice
• 1 cup lime juice
• ½ cup Blood Orange Simple Syrup
• 2 cups dark rum
• 2 cups light rum
• 4 cups chilled sparkling soda
Serve from a large glass beverage dispenser surrounded by galvanized tubs of ice, and garnish generously with citrus wheels and fresh fruit. Keep extra sparkling soda chilled nearby so you can refresh the punch without diluting its flavor.
