Jorj's Tip
The Peach Simple Syrup does all the work. Because the fruit has already infused the syrup, the cocktail tastes like biting into a perfectly ripe summer peach instead of relying on artificial peach flavoring. Use fresh peaches as garnish whenever they're in season.
Hosting a Crowd
For 8 guests, prepare the base ahead of time:
• 1½ cups bourbon
• ¾ cup Peach Simple Syrup (You Can Cook Anything – Volume 5)
• ½ cup fresh lemon juice
Refrigerate until guests arrive.
Pour 3 ounces of the chilled base into an ice-filled wine glass and top each serving with 2 ounces of Prosecco. Garnish individually with peach slices and mint.
Host's Shortcut: Set up a "Sparkler Bar" by placing the chilled bourbon base in a beautiful glass pitcher beside bottles of Prosecco, sparkling water, peach slices, mint, and lemon twists. Guests can finish their own cocktails while you enjoy the party.
Make It Your Own
• Peach Rosemary Sparkler: Add a sprig of fresh rosemary while shaking for a subtle herbal finish.
• Blackberry Peach Sparkler: Muddle two fresh blackberries before adding the bourbon.
• Bourbon & Ginger Peach Sparkler: Replace the sparkling water with ginger beer for a little spice.
• Peach Bellini Sparkler: Omit the bourbon and simply combine the Peach Simple Syrup with Prosecco for a lighter brunch-style cocktail.
