Jorj's Tip
Choose a crisp, dry rosé rather than a sweet blush wine. The Rose Simple Syrup provides just enough floral sweetness while allowing the fresh berries and wine to remain the stars of the cocktail.
Hosting a Crowd
For 8 guests, prepare the base ahead of time:
• 1 bottle (750 ml) dry rosé
• 1 cup Rose Simple Syrup (You Can Cook Anything – Volume 5)
• ½ cup fresh lemon juice
Refrigerate until thoroughly chilled.
To serve, pour 4 ounces of the mixture into an ice-filled wine glass and top each with 2 ounces Prosecco. Garnish with fresh berries and edible flowers.
Host's Shortcut: Arrange the berries and garnishes in small crystal bowls beside the pitcher so guests can finish their own Sparklers. It becomes part of the grazing experience and looks stunning on the table.
Make It Your Own
• Peach Rosé Sparkler: Add a few fresh peach slices and substitute Peach Simple Syrup (Volume 5) for the Rose Simple Syrup.
• Elderflower Sparkler: Replace half of the Rose Simple Syrup with elderflower liqueur or elderflower cordial for an elegant floral variation.
• Berry Garden Sparkler: Muddle a few raspberries before adding the rosé for a richer berry flavor.
• Nonalcoholic Rosé Sparkler: Combine sparkling rosé grape juice with sparkling water, Rose Simple Syrup, fresh lemon juice, and the same berry garnishes for an equally festive mocktail.
