- Preheat the oven to 375°.
- Peel the sweet potatoes and thinly slice.
- Place a layer of sweet potato slices into 4 individual baking dishes (oval bakers, soufflé dishes, ramekins or custard cups).
- Top the sweet potatoes with heavy cream and a sprinkling of chili powder, salt and pepper. Push down the sweet potatoes after each layer to make sure that the potatoes absorb the cream. Continue layering until all of the slices have been used.
- Top each individual casserole with Parmesan cheese.
- Transfer the dishes onto a baking sheet with lip and place into the oven.
- Cook until the potatoes are soft, the cream is absorbed and the cheese is melted and bubbling, about 40 to 45 minutes.
